News Rover Search Problem

I am having a problem with the MP3 & File attachment searches in News
Rover. It will work ok on an old dial-up account, but fails with the
message "Unable to receive search results from the server. Please try
again later.", if I use my broadband connection. I have tried all the
obvious (shut down firewall, ensured no proxy is being used, contacted
News Rover support) but we can't fix the problem. The program is
connecting to the search server on port 26, but just can't seem to
collect the results. Is anyone else having a problem like this, or can
you help to solve it?
