Ahhh, I do not have slrnpull on my system, I don't think. Can you give
me a brief summary of what it is and what it does?

Cop out? Not at all, I am just a realist, rather than an idealist. We
can always talk, Alan, I am honest with you and treat you in a civil
manner. In return, I expect the same, and from you, I seem to be getting
it. Thank you.
I am not saying that no one will buy video games or movies. The public
will *always* buy this stuff and will buy entertainment. Just look at
all of the millionaires in Hollywood. Tons of them, shameless to boot.
The sure as hell did not get that way from the Greenpeace folks making
everyone boycott the stuff. Putting entertainment out of business will
never happen, even if you, I, and everyone on Usenet banded together and
boycotted all entertainment indefinitely. Take my big sister for
example, she has got to be the perfect wife for her husband. She is a
great companion, has great looks (Half Italian), can cook with the best
of the chefs, handles all of the bills, took care of the kids until they
grew up and moved out. Now my sister enjoys a good movie and she will
watch them. There is nothing wrong with that, she works very hard, every
day of her life, to keep the family and everything running on an even
keel. Why should she not ever be "entertained"? She should do "what"
then when all is done for the day and she has a few hours before going
to bed. She should what, read? Play Solitaire? Jog around the blocks
until bedtime? Go out and join a crocheting club? You gotta be kidding
me, that woman has earned her right to be entertained. I she wants to
watch Tom Hanks in a decent movie like The Money Pit (No violence
there,), what is wrong with that my friend?
Alan, I do understand your point of view but you do realize, don't you,
that this is utter fantasy and will never, ever happen in the world as
we know it. Now understand that I understand and respect your point of
view and I do like talking to you, Al. We can disagree respectfully and
that is what we are doing in this thread right now, capice? (Italian
word pronounced "Ca Pish", meaning, "Do you understand?")
On a side note, Hawaii has just written into law a price cap on gasoline
prices, I heard this on the news today. (I drive every day on a route to
fix TV sets, I never waste my time with music on the radio all day, I
listen to world news, PRI, and the talk shows that I can tolerate.) All
of the guys that analyze this stuff say that the Hawaii price freeze
will not work. Gas is very expensive in Hawaii because it has to be
shipped in. The experts say that when you impose a rate restriction on
prices, that there will be shortages or that the price freeze will not
be abided. What do you think, Alan, will it work or will it fail?
Take care, Alan. You are a cool guy to talk to, no "BS" when talking to
AC, that is for sure. :)
