Xnews will remember the placement of the different windows, so it's very easy
to set them up any way you want.
I have "next unread" and "catchup" and Enter bound to mouse buttons, so all I
have to do is highlight a server, hit enter (thumb button) and the first
group opens. I scan the group, hit another button, (catchup) the group
closes, and the next group in the list pops open. I can roll through threads
with another button on the mouse (next unread). Rinse and repeat. I have
groups pop up pretty much full screen, since I don't really need to see the
server windows once I open a group. Unless I type something, I can go through
a couple of dozen groups on 3 different servers using only a few buttons on
my mouse.
Thank you for your very informative response. One of the things I don't like with MesNews (but perhaps I just haven't found the right settings) is the way quoted text like the text above gets improperly lined out.
I will try Xnews with you instructions in mind.
