Away.

If you take a round black balloon and put a quadrillion little white
dots on it, then slowly begin to inflate the balloon, then all the
little white dots will begin to simultaneously move away from one
another, while maintaining their cooresponding ratios of distance.
This is expansion. However, a radius of the ballon will locate a
center from which all dots are moving away from. The universe
has no center. So where is the "space" between matter coming
from?

You can't say outward, because that implys a center with a
growing blank spot.

Wow, I like what you guys have done with the place!

Thanks! After the last stupid party a couple of people threw up,
and we had to replace the drapes and carpet.
