nearly all the Republicans seem to
feel obliged to believe in the whole laundry list, guns, abortion,
beatification of Bush, bad Mexicans, bad Muslims, good Christians,
evil liberals, good corporations, mandatory sentences, lots of
executions, no minimum wage, imprisonment without trial, government
secrecy, Constitutional amendments for everything, yada yada.


Let me look at this list, cuz I may have to turn in my card:

Republican stance on:

guns: yep. Absofuckinglutely. with _some_ sensible controls in
place, of course.

abortion: nope. it's a woman's body and the fetus is a part of her
until a certain point in its development (I've discussed this ad
nauseum, won't go through it again, thx).

boBush: gak. never voted for him, hate him (not personally, mind)

bad Mexicans: the ones who break the law, absolutely, same as bad
'Mericans and bad Russians and bad whatevers. others? they're just
peeps.

bad Muslims: there are monsters out there and the mainstream 'good'
ones are not yet strong enough or active enough to shove them back
into the primordial muck in which they belong. Until that happens,
they're as "bad" as the Christians as a ruling majority once were.

good Christians: most of 'em -- they try to be and the goodness is
indeed codified in the religion. But, being people, there are nasty
wicked awful sorts who're just as bad as the bad Muslims.

evil liberals: nah. misguided, stupid liberals, yes. Evil? nah.

good corporations: they have their places, but they've got far too
much reach and power and, in general, suck the life out of Life.

mandatory sentences: no fucking way.

lots of executions: I'm against the death penalty.

no minimum wage: on the fence. I disagree with it in principle, but
that's my libertarian heart speaking.

imprisonment without trial: nuh-uh. well, except for the initial
arrest, etc. But can't hold 'em without a fair trial.

government secrecy: dang, I'm against much of that as well. I'm not
a fan of much government at all, in fact.

Amendments: well, if it goes through, then obvii it was meant to.


I'm not going to bore you all with a laundry list of the moronic far-
left evils (all Messicans are good Messicans and should be free to
abuse our Nanny System, Government is Your Friend and should take
care of you from the moment you draw breath (but not before) until
the moment your ex-husband pulls the plug on your machine, No One Is
Qualified To Do Anything On Their Own Because They're Too Stupid
Which Is Why You Must Have Government Regulations For How Often You
Can Blink and Poop, Al Gore Is Really God, All Guns Are Evil Except
For The Ones The Cops Carry, All Your Money Are Belong To Us, etc.)
because I'm too much of a sweetie.

Guess I'll have to be voted off the island now. Dang.
