Re: [ARE YOU SAVED?!] The Illustrated Xenu (for Heathens)

On Thu, 05 Jun 2008 07:35:36 +0800, intrepid reporter Ray Haddad
<ray@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>, in an attempt to scoop the misc.writing Herald, stopped
the presses by saying:

On Wed, 04 Jun 2008 23:24:50 GMT, I said, "Pick a card, any card"
and "Stan (the Man)" <newsNOSPAM@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> instead replied:

So, they knew you introduced this little girl -- was she 11-yrs old or
14-yrs old when you got lucky and stumbled upon her? -- to usenet and
had her post in a predominantly adult ng in order to defend you? And
they knew that you encouraged all these adults to email her? They knew
you were "mentoring" their minor child? They knew all that? What was
their response to that? Did they encourage you in this relationship? Did
they say something like, "Yeah, we love having our little girl involved
in a bizarre relationship with a disgusting old man. It's great that he
has her involved in his foul usenet arguments and that he has adults
sending her email"? Did they say something like that? Are they demented?

Funny thing, Stan. I went to the library on Tuesday for a bit of
reference material and while I was there, I checked on several books
on the Internet. Of those I looked in, all of them regarded USENET
as a useful tool. None of them warned anyone from using it in any
way.

And yet not all newsgroups are suitable for minors. For example, I *certainly*
wouldn't send an 11- (or 14-) year-old girl to alt.sex.bestiality.pictures.
