Why can't you say "cellophaneous"? I rather like it. As in "that
package is rather cellophaneous." Not to be confused of course with
cellophoneus, a disease that causes formerly sane people to rent
ringtones.

But -- you can say "miscellane," only it's spelled
"miscellany," the y being according to the dictionary probably from
the French "miscellanées," from the Latin "miscellanea." By way of
"miscellanies," I assume.
