So what loose gear makes you advocate warming?

Winter here is colder than I prefer and changing my location is
impractical for personal reasons. Though I'm not certain that
"advocate" is precisely the correct word. Whatever.

You have my permission to continue your rationalistic wailing about
science now. You may also rail on about my loose gears, but frankly
attacks on my sanity are... well, meaningless.

I don't know, Boots. You claim you're insane. You act kind of insane.
But there's too much method in your madness.

He likes to say he's insane, but he got all pissy when I said his
opinion was a delusion.

I got pissy because it seemed hypocritical to me that someone stoned
out of his mind on "medication" should so loftily place himself in the
position of judge. Of course you consider yourself to be medicated
into sanity rather than stoned out of it, but that's rather relative
isn't it. That's the point after all, sanity is relative, and unless
one view or another can be proven absolutely, it's no more than a
voting matter of determining who holds the majority opinion. It's
functionality that's the crux of it, not conformance or aberration.

I don't understand why you're so interested in absolute proof. We
can't achieve it, any more than we can live the perfect life. A
working toaster does more for breakfast than a broken one, even if you
can't prove that it's working or that it isn't in fact a non-toaster
that was malfunctioning in the days when it made toast.
