Well since Medicare is going to go broke long before even SS, it
would seem to argue against this supposition. Trustees think Part A (the
hospital part) will be dead meat by 2019, if you consider that taking
out the "income" from the government bonds in the trust fund means that
it is already in the red from just a tax standpoint.
