Marvin rose to notoriety as the activist newshound/lawman who brought down
the infamous Chicken Ranch...a saga which prompted the long-running, musical
stage production (Tommy Tune): Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. Also was
produced a humorous movie with Bert Reynolds as the besat County Sheriff and
Dolly Parton as the Madam of the establishment.

Following that bust (no pun intended) Marvin made his mark as the venerable
TV reporter on Houston's ABC Channel 13. He reportedly owned substantial
stock on the corporation and was a CRT fixture for 40 years.

His death was reported in today's Houston Chronicle.
