The FDA has just approved a "revolutionary" weight loss drug called Alli,
which unlike other diet aids, works directly in the digestive system.
Apparently, they just dug a formerly unsuccessful diet drug from a
well-deserved grave, slapped an astronomical price on it, and put it back
on the shelf. The side effects (firehose *** and building evacuations)
are still with us.
Fats not absorbed high up in the digestive system survive into the lower,
which is nothing more than a lightweight, portable septic tank. There we
find lots of bacteria only too eager to go to work on it.
Nice imagery Bill. :-)
You would have loved this article I read -- the woman who was featured was
quoted as saying something like, "I've lost 5 pounds in 2 weeks but it's not
a miracle drug or anything." Then she mentioned that she'd eaten 5 pieces of
pizza the night before and the next morning, "paid the price."
Okay, what's wrong with this picture? Someone who eats 5 pieces of pizza is
taking a pill to lose weight?
Gawd.
