Duh. And where exactly did I say that I was half black? And why
exactly did you clip the context?

It's an honest comment, that Stan made. You're repeatedly saying
he's a liar. He said "half-black" one time, you jumped all over him,
and he amended it to "part black".

Er, no:

"He's claimed to be half of everything from
Hispanic to black to Jewish (hence my referring to him as
"half-boy"), believing that would give his half-baked,
uninformed opinions some extra weight."

That quote is from only a few weeks ago, Gekko. And it's an
in-your-face lie.

Fact: I have never claimed to be half black: as the passage you quoted
shows, I mentioned that I was part black.

Fact: I have never claimed to be half Hispanic.

Fact: I mentioned being part black and Hispanic not to give my
"half-baked, uninformed" opinions more weight, but because the context
demanded it. Thus I responded to your assertion that I was prejudiced
against Hispanics by pointing out that I was part Hispanic. Thus I
mentioned that I was part black because I had to do so in order to
respond to a leading question in which you claimed that I was lily
white.

Given the combination of your
claims to "half this" and "half that",

Er, except for the fact that I made no claims to being half anything
other than Jewish, for the simple reason that I am not.

the general mirth that
surrounded your claims,

Mirth, real or not and general or not, is not an indication of truth,
nor does it excuse a lie.

and then fundoc's fun with it,

Except for the fact that Fundoc's fun was nothing more than that --
fun -- and was in fact based on his assumption that someone named Hill
wouldn't have both a grandfather named Lieberman and a grandfather
named José, an assumption that was safe only on a statistical basis.

along side
your claim to dark skin, the same sort of brotherhood as a black
person might feel, and your African ancestry, it's an honest comment
for Stan to have made.

Except that the passage you yourself quoted demonstrates, I mentioned
my skin tone and African ancestry only by way of responding to your
claims, specifically:

"They're all just as white and cultureless as you, eh?

"Are you _ashamed_ to be around blacks, Asians, Hispanics, Indians and
others who maintain their own cultures, their own speech patterns,
Josh, that you want to wipe it out?"

- Gekko

In other words, you claimed that an octoroon with a Hispanic
grandfather was lily white, and suggested on that basis that I was
ashamed to be around blacks and Hispanics. It is nothing short of
preposterous to suppose that I or anyone under the sun would have
accepted the falsehood in those leading questions rather than stating
the truth.

Bottom line: there's nothing even remotely honest about the assertions
Stan made above.
