Kinda the disadvantage of hanging out on this newsgroup, Zero: you
forget that decency exists. And you have your facts wrong. About the
location and duration of our meetings, but that doesn't really matter.
And about the nature of Ray's suggestion. It was nothing more than
that. I didn't take it, because I'm not the sort of guy who lets down
friends as a matter of convenience. Besides, what's going to happen to
me? Lots of *** lames seems the worst of it, and, really, when I think
back on the times in which I've seen or heard about people making
bigoted remarks, I can't think of a single case in which my respect
when to the bigot, rather than to the victim.

Yes. I recall Ray asking me not to repeat it at the time. And he
apparently doesn't remember that, a lapse of the sort we all make even
when the event is recent, never mind one that is more than a year in
the past. Or my own recollection is erroneous.

I assume you don't take these "accusations" any more seriously than
Sylvia does, and the details would be supremely unimportant either
way, which is why I haven't bothered to respond until now. But,
really, I'm getting bored of skimming halfway through a post only to
discover that I've sunk into some sort of quicksand of
inconsequentiality. Better to put the nonsense to rest and move on.
