I have a sketch (at least one) in the running order of a topical comedy
show. I won't know for sure if they're in until after the show, when they
send the checks. If they do--this sketch (or sketches) will be my first
sale.
The first thing I will be able to put on my CV. This is good--over the next
year I have to build a profile, so that following year I can start pitching
for bigger and better things. But the five year plan is roughly on course.

Everything happens by degrees. I found out last week that the first sketch I
sent made it to the initial read-through with the cast. Very complimentary
email from the script editor, inviting me to send more. I told my friends,
and I blogged it, but I didn't jump around the house. The feeling is more
like, 'about fucking time.'

Nah, that's a lie. I am happy. But it is about fucking time.

Cool indeed!
