By the way, Hopeless, "Wilhelm Tell" is not
given an entry in CHAMBER'S BIOGRAPHICAL
DICTIONARY. Try "William Tell" and you
will find the entry.. And don't think I am
cheating and the listing also says,"or 'Wilhem
Tell'" in German or words to that that effect.
No "Wilhem" whatsoever. After all,
CHAMBER'S BIOGRAPHICAL
DICTIONARY is written in English for English
readers. It is not intended for peripathetic
pseudo-literary poseurs who scurry from
country to country picking up a dash of
this language and a smattering of that. Of
course, Alan knows far more than Magnus
Magnusson did, Alan being a far more
distinguished scholar, writer and editor.
