So, Haddad, what was it like to tour Vietnam with Mr. Bob Hope?
..Only two cities in Vietnam. Guam, Midway, Hawaii, the Philippines
and a few of the larger ships were on the schedule those years.
<koff!>
..That's nice. So, Haddad, what was it like to tour Vietnam with Mr. Bob
Hope?
It was nice. Loved it...
..Which years, exactly, were ya tourin' around Vietnam with Mr. Bob Hope?
IIRC, you only said "the early 70's". Shirley you'd remember such
wonderful experiences as those tours.
I was there in 1972, 1973 and 1974.
<blink!> <koff!>
Really? How nice for you. Thenk yew, that was*most* informative.
Ummm... does "the Paris Peace Agreement of 1973" ring any bells?
Oh, and by the way, it wasn't a Vietnam show.
I'm well aware of that.
Even you should know that.
I was humo(u)ring you, Haddad. See?
"In the early 1970s, I was actively involved in
entertaining overseas deployed troops during
the Vietnam war by traveling with the United
Services Organization Pacific Theater of
Operation tour." -- Ray Haddad

Do you even know the real name for it?
Yup.
Probably not.
"The Ray Haddad Military Fantasy Tour"
You're too much if a nitwit.
Well, I'm not a nitwit, therefore, I'm not "too much".
..If you want the exact details with dates, places and possibly
a few photos, send me an e-mail. You know the address.
..<best shark smile>
Thanks, but I already know someone who has information and photos about
those tours. In fact, he even recorded the *entire* show. Would you like
to know how to get a copy? For old times sake, I'm thinkin'. See all yer
old co-stars again, yes?
Great. Send me the details. Love to see it.
I'm afraid you'll have to settle for the 1972 tour alone, 'cause...
.... you were all alone during any 1973 and 1974 tour. See, Mr. Hope (not
our Mr. Hope, TOMH) and company did not tour Vietnam in 1973 and 1974.
Can ya guess why?
..So, Haddad, you like to tell tales--why doncha share a petite story
about you and Mr. Bob Hope workin' together in Vietnam? Which other
stars didja get to hang with?
Not to you.
Awwwwwwwwwwwww!
You can't be trusted. Sorry, but that's the sad fact of life here.
<...>
Ya know what's the saddest fact of life here? I'll tell ya. It's:
<signaling the (UNofficial) Heralds>
<flourish of kazoos>
RAY "I was there in 1972, 1973 and 1974" HADDAD,
self-proclaimed 22-year US Naval HERO,
winner of military MEDALS, VIETNAM COMBAT VET, etc.
Had no idea that:
1) Most of our US troops LEFT Vietnam in 1972.
2) All but the embassy guard left in 1973.
3) There were *no* USO Christmas tours in in Vietnam 1973 and 1974.
4) The 1972 USO Christmas tour traveled only to two (2) of the six (6)
places Haddad claimed they visited. (That certainly *would* have been an
impressive magic act.)
Haddad's version: Vietnam. Guam, Midway, Hawaii, the Philippines and a
few of the larger ships.
The USO's version: The Aleutians, Japan, Thailand, Island of Diego
Garcia, South Vietnam, Guam (no ships).

LIAR! LIAR! LIAR!
BUSTED! BUSTED! BUSTED!

Sylvia <--- The Supreme Ruler of MW
"You're a liar, Haddad, and there's no way
round it. You could of course prove me wrong,
but only if I were wrong."
- Mr. Hope
"Hello. You have a rep on MW as a liar, Ray. And now
you're proving you don't even know what the word means,
which is why you also have a rep of being a fuckwit.
"HTH."
- Miz UV to Ray Haddad
"Ah, Raymond, when will you learn
not to *parade* your ignorance?
- Zen to Haddad in MW
"Haddad, however, is deluded in believing his own "I always
know what I am doing when it comes to being ambiguous"
claim. That's why the rest of us are all, "Lookit! Another
obvious bald-faced LIE! Why would Haddad think that
*anyone* would believe him?!"
-- Miz Sylvia (<--- that's ME!) in MW
"Try to be a responsible and honest person here, Ray.
I realize it's difficult for you, but do try."
- Miz gekko to Ray Haddad
"...the haddad will not let his love of the sound of
his own voice (the sight of his own writing, one
ought to say) be in any way diminished by having
only bollocks to say."
- Zen in MW 2/20/03
