It completely boggles my mind how eager some people are to become
known as global warming "skeptics". Common sense should tell you that
there is a 50% chance the earth will become warmer over coming
decades, even if all the global warming hysteria is for nothing. So
don't get in front of that steamroller! Besides which, victory will be
declared no matter what happens. Because it's climate change, whatever
happens.
Unboggle your mind, Pie. I agree with you on the 50% figure.
I've never had a particular prollem with the idea that the planet is
getting warmer because it has done that systematically for eons. My
objection is the hysteria associated with it;and moreso, the idea that
mankind is causing it this time around.
If the planet warms up and melts the ice, water will spread across
greater areas of land. That will mean more evaporation. More
evaporation means more clouds and moisture. More clouds means less
sunshine hitting the surface. Less sunshine hitting the surface means
a cooler planet. And so, the cycle continues. The downside will be
that NOLA will flood again and prolly much of NY City.
The upside will be that NOLA will flood again and prolly much of NY
City.
Venice and Amsterdam will get a much needed douching.
