Okay so my new book is out at last. The good news is that it is
attracting review attention. The bad news is that some reviewers/
interviewers just love it, other reviewers/interviewers just don't.
But it seems to be all in or all out, not much middle ground. This I
had not anticipated. Does it happen commonly? Or does my writing
style have unique polarization properties?

Early reviews are sometimes set out as territory. "I was the first to
love/trash it". Wait. When the really serious reviewers look at it
they will give you a better picture. Polarization isn't bad. It just
means you speak really well to one group but another doesn't like your
work at all. You have to decide which one you want to service.
I think that would be "you want to serve". "Service" is what bulls do
to heiffers. Perhaps you have unstated motives.
