Plato's cave

His head was braced onto the wall of a cave. There were symbols of
animals and men, even families.. He remained fastened there looking at
it for 3 years. The patterns of a wall formed a language that he could
understand only after a few months of being forced to observe it. He
believed in those images.. But when he came out of the cave, he saw
the blinding light.. He could not make sense of the new world he saw.
Men were not actors here and the world was merely filled with dry
occurances without the magic that entails a story..As a believer, a
remanent of being stuck in the cave, people took him for one with
grandeur an attempt to hold himself as a prop for some theatrical
effect. Only dying could make him see.. and when he died, he joined
the human race.. an improvement from the existance on the stage where
the pretense of believing that he was there for a purpose gave him the
mark..
