Clarke has used WordStar as recently as 1996.
It definitely runs on Linux, and there's another version for Windows
XP. The emulator for Microsoft Word is yet another way to go.

I wonder if it has been ported to Apple X11. But I must confess that
I'm reasonably content with AppleWorks 6.
