What might we be doing right?
The US doesn't punish people for using weapons against villains who
are committing a crime. In Australia, a homeowner who clobbers a
person during a home invasion robbery can be charged with assault or
sued for damages due to injury. Over here, you have to lay down and
take it or you may go to jail if you defend yourself just the
teeniest bit to hard.
