Do you remember the days when you *had* to wear a hat? You were required to wear a hat on Sunday Mornings (Sunday School / Big Church). You were not required to wear a hat to Sunday Night prayer service, or Wednesday Night Prayer Service.

You were also required to wear panty hose all three nights. Pants were never allowed.

I missed the 'had to wear a hat' era by about 13 years. My yearly hats were of the Easter Outfit kind, when you got outfitted with new clothes from the skin out, and it always included a hat and a white gloves.

What I really wanted . . . really, really wanted . . . was a hat with a veil.

How do you people handle hat hair?

And I guess a baseball cap doesn't count, although I adore the look of a woman wearing a baseball cap.
