HOW TO ENTER
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Enter by printing your name, address, phone number along with your description, in 250 words or less, about a wild place that inspires you an 8.5 x 11 *** of paper or an online printout entry at www.randomhouse.com/kids/flush/form.html and mail to: FLUSH "Protect Wild Spaces" Contest, Random House Inc., 1745 Broadway, 10th floor, New York, NY 10019. Entries must be mailed separately and received by Random House no later than December 31, 2005 at 5pm EDT. LIMIT ONE ENTRY PER PERSON. Partially completed or illegible entries will not be accepted. Random House is not responsible for lost, late, mutilated, illegible, stolen, postage due, incomplete or misdirected entries.

ELIGIBILITY
Contest is open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia, and Canada, excluding the Province of Quebec, who are between the ages of 8 and 25 on September 13, 2005. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Void wherever prohibited or restricted by law. Employees of Random House Inc., The Nature Conservancy and their parent companies, assigns, subsidiaries or affiliates, and advertising, promotion, and fulfillment agencies; their immediate family members, and persons living in their household are not eligible to enter this Contest.

PRIZES &c.

* The Nature Conservancy's mission is to preserve the plants, animals and natural communities that represent the diversity of life on Earth by protecting the lands and waters they need to survive.
* For every entry received, Random House Children’s Books will donate $1.00* to The Nature Conservancy.
* One Grand Prize Winner will receive: A trip for two to Florida for three (3) days and two (2) nights, including round trip airfare for two and two night’s hotel stay (one room), an ecological tour provided by The Nature Conservancy, a personalized letter from the author, complementary membership to The Nature Conservancy, the "Think Before You Flush" Kit, one of each autographed copies of Flush and Hoot (PB) for the winner and the winner’s school library.
* Five Runners-Up will each receive an autographed copy of Flush

Entries will be judged by the Random House Marketing Department staff, whose decisions are final, and the prize will be awarded on the basis of originality, style, and creativity of the essay question."
