Do you have an unpublished manuscript? (new site plug)

http://www.writersconnect.com

Writersconnect is an online literary search engine and marketing
facility created for the specific purpose of delivering your manuscript
to publishers in the form that they require.

Writersconnect allows authors the facility to upload their work in a
form approved and preferred for access by publishers. Writersconnect
enhances the marketability of your manuscript by tailoring its
presentation to the standards developed in conjunction with the
Publishing Industry.

You retain the intellectual property in your manuscript.

What does it involve?

It involves you registering as many biographical details as you are
comfortable with. Such things as your name, address and phone number
are kept in strict confidence and are only disclosed to a publisher
with your permission.

It involves you uploading a précis (a short summary) of your work in
which we want you to define and market your book, as if it were the
blurb on the back of a bookshop copy.

It involves you answering a few short questions that will give a
prospective publisher a better perspective on your work.

It also involves you uploading the first 9,000 words of your manuscript
which is more than a publisher needs to assess your work, but is kept
as a surety of your seriousness as a writer.
