I don't assume otherwise. There are numerous reports of her
protesting the war before 2004, so I know that her actions were not
triggered by her son's death and I'm certain that her grief has
spurred her efforts.

I do wonder... if Pres. Kerry had started a war with Saudi
Arabia after 9/11 and if her son had been killed outside of Riyadh,
would Ms. Sheehan be parked outside of Teresa's mountain chalet for
the duration of Kerry's vacation? If she were truly against war, then
she would. If she's merely against the right, the Republicans, and
Bush, then she wouldn't.
