As usual you ignore everything except that which your low-rent argument is
prepared for. What part of "drill everywhere, drill now" is the "only in
ANWR?" It's you that don't pay attention. In the same paragraph where you
are whining about China drilling and sucking up "our oil" it seems like even
you might notice that the eastern Gulf of Mexico, assuming you know where
that is, and assuming you know that isn't Alaska, is exactly where the
"drill everywhere, drill now" supporters want the US to drill. How does
this fit with your accusation that people like me only think about ANWR?
This is what is so silly about you drop-outs when you try to argue. Being
your first attempt you don't even know how to do it.
We "bash them greens" because they are the old reds dressed up in new, well
make that second-hand clothing. That's my point. People like you that
already want this country weakened are the same people that just happen to
want to choke our economy by squeezing it around the neck and pretending you
will let go if we switch to bottled bee farts or whatever means is too small
and too expensive in the future. If some fat cat oil man was putting
off-limits 85% of US oil people like you would be screeming "bloody murder",
but since the watermelon environmentalists (green on the ouside and red on
the inside) are the culprits you support locking up 85% of US oil, oh and
then you blame Bush for the result. If a liberal crapped his pants he would
blame it on Bush.

A great Democratic secretary of state, Dean Acheson, once warned "no people
in history have ever survived, who thought they could protect their freedom
by making themselves inoffensive to their enemies." This is a lesson that
today's Democratic Party leaders need to relearn.

It's not a coincidence that the people that don't understand markets, and

Yer right! 75% of the people who you would label as "greenies" do not
understand flexible markets and 85% don't understand fixed resources and
inelasticity. The thing you overlook is that 80% of the people of all
political stripes don't understand flexible markets and 98% have no clue
at all what inelesticity might mean. And in that group it is probable that
you have no clue at all what the degree of inelasticity and the concept of
economic_rent might mean. Fixed resource economics and monetary economics
does not seem to be your strong suit. You have thus far demonstrated
total misunderstanding of the current situation or a real penchant for
lying. Hard to tell which is the most prevalent.
There is no "solution" to the problem of energy in a crowded world. But
there are proper courses of action and nuclear will probably be one of
them. Oil (like in Montana, N.,S. Dakota and perhaps the Florida Straits)
are stop gap measures. The Republican administration has a tariff on
ethanol from Brazil where they make it with sugar cane and they refuse to
even talk to the Cubans about all their sugar cane. Then there's the fact
that the Cubans are drilling the Florida Straits and sucking up _OUR_ oil.
But we can't "appease" (negotiate with) the Cubans cause they don't use
the right kind of condoms.
All you will hear from the Republicans is ANWR, ANWR, ANWR, ANWR, and
bash them greens.
