I was stopped by a Dumas, Texas cop one time while driving a rig and
he told me I had run a red light. I asked him 3 times if a yellow
light meant that I had to stop. He finally said no.
I also let him know up front that if I was issued a citation, I would
take him to court over it. Because of where he was sitting, he could
not have seen the light itself in any way.
He let me go with a warning.
Amazing he could see me run the light but couldn't see that I wasn't
wearing my seat belt. I think his older and wiser partner talked him
out of citing me.
Boy, Ricky...you sure know how to put those cops in their place.
I'm sure when they see you step down from one of the many big trucks you
have driven, that they go weak in the knees, start shivering in those black
shoes, and they wet their pants at the very sight of you.
But..hey...enough about your looks.
When you threaten to take them to court over a citation, that makes them
flee for their very lives...right?
I've said it more than two dozen times....
You're a legend in your own mind.
