Verizon is getting their coolest phone yet and it will be for sale later
this week.

If you buy the above phone and want to use it for internet on your laptop
there are two ways to do it.
1. A tethered connection with a USB cable.
2. Using Bluetooth PAN (Personal Area Network).

Either way, tethered or Bluetooth you have to use "Internet Sharing" on
the
phone to get the internet from the phone to the laptop.

"Internet Sharing" is a program normally found in the "Comm Manager" and
there will probably be a shortcut to "Comm Manager" somewhere or you can
just go Start->Programs->Comm Manager. You might also be able to use:
Start->Programs->Internet Sharing to get straight to "Internet Sharing."

Once you start "Internet Sharing" on the phone you should be able to
select
USB or "Bluetooth PAN", provided Verizion has not disabled the "Bluetooth
PAN" feature and then tap "Connect" on the bottom of the screen. That is
pretty much it for setting up the phone.

If you have a "tethered connection" and have installed software that came
with the phone just wait a few seconds and you will have Internet.

Now to the laptop. If you want to use Bluetooth on a Windows laptop you
will have to right click the Bluetooth icon in the Icon tray by the clock
on
the lower right hand side.

After a "Right Click" on the "Bluetooth Icon" things can be different but
you will probably see either "Bluetooth Settings" or "Join a Personal Area
Network." If you have already "Paired" the two devices your next step
will
probably be to "Connect" and it is that simple.

As for Paring? You can ask Douglas about that since he has paired
Bluetooth
devices before but he has never "paired" with a phone that has Stereo
Bluetooth before. Right Doug?

Don't have Bluetooth on your laptop? You can get a USB dongle for
Bluetooth
at Best Buy or order a laptop with Bluetooth since most places do not
sell
laptops with the Bluetooth hardware.

Oh, if you buy the above phone you will *not* need a laptop to post to this
NG. However, your easiest way to "Sign in" to Google with a WM6 device
might be to use http://google.com/m
