Obama grew up as a "preppy in paradise". He was hardly a deprived waif
being shuffled between run down apartments. His mom and her family saw to
it that Obama grew up if not wealthy than at least going to prestiguous
schools in swanky places, no thanks to his dad. His dad just skipped town
each time he got a new job and seemed to marry the forst woman he saw in the
new town and make a baby. Obama's half-siblings, the children of these
other marriage didn't find anything very admirable about dear old dad or the
culture dad absorbed. Barry was more than a little desperate to make the
truth of dad and dad's culture admirable no matter how crappy the people who
knew dad and lived in the culture thought it was. That doesn't suggest the
sort of clear-eyed, fresh approach so many casual Obama supporters pretend
he is. Obama is a fad like Pat Buchanan, Ross Perot, and Fred Thompson.
90% of their supporters fell in love before they heard one complete sentence
by or from the candidate.
If Barry can't resist the Chicago machine when they wanted him how will he
resist the next bad idea he hears?

The North American Union and SPP are just convenient retreats for the same
crooks and kooks that were telling you to panic about Y2K.

Thank you for spending 1.8 seconds before arriving at an evaluation.
If you had read any of the links you would see that the blogger is
about equally impressed with Obama as concerned with Obama. You might
also see that the blogger's entries span years and begins when Obama's
identified as exceptionally good writer and hailed for a worthy book
by Obama.
I assure you that I spent more than 2 seconds before arriving at my
opinion. I saw nothing that suggested that he was impressed with the
man. I read alot that suggested he was concerned with the prospect of
him becoming President.
However the man may admire Obama's writings, his view of the man is
unfavorable as a politician.
Obama's father is not a distant relative and Obama's
obsession with connecting with his runaway father is a strong
motivation.
I was referring to the relatives of questionable character in Kenya that
Mr. Sailer reffered to.
You find is unusual that a man would not want to understand why a parent
abandoned him? That is quite normal, but fodder for another discussion
at another time.
I suppose that some people feel that a black man without a father is so
ordinary in their culture, that for one to dwell on it seems weird.
Hhmm...
Obama having so few tangible accomplishments and
policies, if one is to look to find out about Obama what he writes and
how he's arrived at his ideas is about all one has to go on. That is
just one more reason to be suspicious of anyone with so little on a
resume, not a reason to fill in the blanks with the most comfortable
guesses and hope nothing bad happens. There is almost nobody running
for office with as little to recommend him as Obama. John Edwrads, by
comparison, looks like an elder stateman of great achievement.
You know what? I'm hardly bothered by his lack of "experience" as a
politician, because we have a gaggle of career politicians in
Washington, who don't know their ass from their elbows, and look where
that's gotten us.
This man wasn't born with a silver spoon in his mouth, nor was he handed
the gold key to the crapper because of who's birth canal he downloaded
from. He's a man who made his own way, despite his meager upbringing,
his race, and he has worked his way up the ladder through determination
and hard work, and by doing it honestly.
I think new blood is most welcome by many out here. I don't know if I
will be casting my vote for the man, but I certainly have not ruled him
out at this point.
