He's a product of the corrupt Chicago political machine, complete with
shady land deals, slum land lords, and a race-baiting church that
looks like a Christian version of the Nation of Islam.
Tell me, have you ever heard of a squeaky clean politician that hailed
from Chicago or for that matter, the state of Louisiana? Some things are
what they are, because it has been done that way for decades. Not
everything is always as it appears however.
Obama has been accused of many things, but nothing has stuck that I am
aware of. I don't think most of what has been lobbed has even hit a target.
Hell the Governor has more ties to Tony Rezko than Obama begins to. The
rumor is that Bagojevich will eventually be indicted for his associations
with Rezko.
The Sun Times debunked the Rezko/Obama land deal rumors very
effectively, and the man gave them an exclusive interview. Obama made a
mistake in buying a home from the man, at a time when Rezco was under
Federal investigation. He didn't attempt to hide a thing.

He's not a Muslim, nor has he ever been a Muslim.
He was not sworn into office with a Quran.
He absolutely has said the Pledge of Allegiance many times.
He was photographed one time, this past September, after failing to place
his hand over his heart during the National Anthem. He explained that the
photo was snapped before he realized that it was being played, and did not
clearly understand what was going on, due to the sound system being overly
loud and hard to make out every word.
We all know that if you follow someone around 24/7, you can get pics of
them doing all kinds of things that make them look bad. Hell...look at how
many pics are on TMZ of celebs picking their noses.
Politicians are people like all of us are, prone to making all kinds of
mistakes and lapses in paying attention like any one of us.
The man admits to having used drugs in his youth. How many politicians have
attempted to dodge that bullet? His honesty and written admission gave no
one anywhere to run with such an accusation. Good for him.
He only looks
fresh and new because liberals' white-guilt stop them from looking too
hard at a black man, "that would be racist", andObama's talent of
presenting himself as an empty vessel in which blacks and whites can
pretend he is either the militant black man ready to set things right
or the post-racial candidate depending on who is the audience.
That doesn't make him any different from anyone else who runs for political
office.
What does set the man apart, at least in my opinion, is the fact that he is
pointedly honest, even when it has the potnetial of making him look bad. He
doesn't attempt to hide his leanings towards socialism, nor has he tried to
play the race card like every other black candidate before him.
What I do think the man would do, if he does happen to make it into the
Oval Office, is that he would be a man who would roll up his sleeves and
would attempt to bridge divides between the parties on the important
issues. I really believe that. I think he would be excellent in dealing
with foreign policy, unlike Bush. In other words, I don't think this man is
arrogant. I think he's quite capable of understanding the concept of 'give
and take' to find common ground as a means to solve problems.
Obama has the inexperience of John Edwards, farther left policies than
Hillary, and the psychological hang-ups of Bill Clinton.
Well I don't know about all of that, because Hillary is way out there in
left field as well, but I can't keep something out of my mind when the
subject of his inexperience comes up.
Another former President, who hailed from the same state no less, had the
same exact political record that Obama has amassed thus far, and he went on
to become one of the most revered Presidents that this country will ever
have.
Abraham Lincoln was a two term Senator from Illinois when he was elected
President.
