Re: regarding GPS on laptop and law

I went looking for a mount for my laptop that would place it
somewhere better than sitting on the passenger seat so I could
look at it without having to look so far away from the road, [this
was for my pickup], and was told that they didn't sell such
devices because of their liability.

I didn't ask, but I wondered if there was a legal limit on the
size of display screen you could actually have in front of you,
and figured thats probably why most GPS units are so tiny.

Now that makes me wonder if it's even legal to have a laptop, with
a 14" screen even running and facing you from the passenger seat,
particularly at night, anyone know?
