trucks all laround them going to the same place, yet less than 10% of the
time will anyone of these lost drivers turn on their CB radio. Insetad they
pick up their cell phone and dial some dispatcher several states away to
tell them they are lost and need directions. Every truck that passes them
is offering help, and they'd rather talk to a keyboard operator in another
state. The expediters are the worst.
ISTM the entrance to your factory is poorly marked, and whatever
directions your company provides to drivers insufficient.
You seem to be under the impression that a truck driver may take
navigation advice from strangers, even if that stranger may be one of
the morons with his radio boosted to the degree that he causes
lightning strikes every time he keys the mic.
Ultimately, it is the responsibility of the driver and his carrier to
find you, but it does not seem unreasonable to me to expect your
company to provide adequate directions and reasonable signage.
