Hi, Hope you all are having a great day! I told my bfreind I would jumpany
in
here and ask you where the links might be to look for a new job for him
or
get some advice as bfriend has no idea there is a trucking newsgroup, or
newsgroup for that matter. I impressed him with the "I have connections, the
I
can help" line. Now here is your chance to make me shine. :-)
Forgive me if I use the wrong terminology, trucking business is
relatively
new to me but I am having fun learning it. I admire what you do for us,
country.has
Ok, here is what I need to know - we are in the St Louis Metro area, he
what, over 8 years experience professional truck driving, 53 footershe
(right?) and I think at least the fist half was OTR, and the last 4
have
been local with a transportation company in town.
He wants local work, he's an excellent driver, hard worker and very
dependable. He is mature, not sure if being over 50 means much more than
hopes not to have to load and unload.back
Do you need more info or is this enough to lead me to a particular
company
that is good to work for? Name or links to it, facts about it?
His present company is working him to death, pays time and half over 50
hours, not so great health insurance, poorly managed terminal, he gets
around quit time at the end of the day and gets sent back out again forsupper
something he could have picked up on his way back in , missing family
sort of thing. Frustrating management to him. He claims this is typicalwork
conditions all over except that this present company is getting shorthanded
and with so much mismanagement he really has bad attitude days that needto
change. though he loves the driving, I might add. Is there any hope?
I look forward to your words of wisdom - Thank you
Deb
You Might have him try Express 2000 in Bridgeton. I know they are short on
drivers and it's all local work..
Good Luck
.
