I don't believe he is "homophobic". A phobia is a fear of something.
Perhaps he finds them morally bankrupt and repulsive as most sane people
do.
That's because they're homophobic (especially like gringo).
This country has a significant number of gay ministers, cops, soldiers,
ect, who would be hard to describe as morally bankrupt, compared to, say,
someone who professes a blind and ignorant bigotry with a note of pride.
Fear what you don't understand, so to speak.
It's a fact that like -any- common bigotry, most homophobia is based on a
lack of self-esteem, and an insecure sexual identity.
