Why do some truckers park in the driveways and along the roads next to
truck stops when there are plenty of slots IN the truck stop? At a
stop in Arkansas a couple nights ago, the roadways were clogged around
the stop and yet it was only half full.


Many truck drivers would park on their mother's grave if it meant walking 3
feet less per day. You'll also notice they dump out their drinks and
p-bottles right outside the driver side window. A good number of those
parking anywhere but a parking spot will also dump their ashtray and garbage
on the ground despite walking right past a trash can. Maybe because they
are treated like stray dogs by normal society, they sink to that
expectation.
