You mean the "Gamma Goat"? I HATED those things. They were the most
uncomfortable things to drive. No freakin' doors. You had to crawl in
and out thru the windows. The clutch spring was tighter than any 18
wheeler I've driven since and the gear shift stick was extremely stiff.
Those things were a trip, I drove one a few times. I seem to remember
the throttle return spring was comparable to a suspension spring on a
Pinto, practically impossible to operate smoothly.
Of my many and considerable major life accomplishments, my ability to
escape having to obtain any military driver's license/s is one of those
of which I am most proud.
