Extreme Fatigue / Disorientation

I know I was over extending myself and I rectified it with a nap, but I was in a position where I was very fatigued while driving. I'm relatively new to the trucking thing and I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this.
I'd be driving along and there would be a slight tilting of the road surface. Rather than just adjusting to it I suddenly felt (for a split second) disoriented. I used to be a smoker and I'd every once in a while experience what others called "nicotine washout" where I'd feel disoriented for say 10 seconds. This was similar to that but only lasted 1 second or less.
I now know this as a warning sign that I am tired and take steps to take care of it. Has anyone else experienced something like this?
