I have a Muvo TX FM 256MB player from Creative. It runs on one AAA battery
and it will play for 18 hours using the low bit rate files I play. If you
fill up a 1GB player with music files, you will probably have more battery
life than content to listen to. By that I mean the player will play all the
music using an AA or AAA battery.
One thing I do like on the small players, as opposed to the Apple Nano, is
the ability to use a common battery. With the HD players they use an
internal lithium ion battery, like a notebook. You're only option is to
bring a power cord if you expect to use them for a long time. With the
small flash based players, if you unexpectedly run out of power, you can
just pop in a new battery. If your forget a battery, you can buy one in any
store. I've been using a flash player which uses a single AAA battery and
has battery life inferior to the Creative Muvo. It's never run out of juice
during a 10 hour work day. Typically it will play all night at work and I
have enough power to listen for a couple of hours before work and a couple
of hours after work and still have power left over. This is with my 24kbps
audio files.
Using an AAA battery the player is about the weight of a disposable cig
lighter, or mayeb two lighters.

The amazing part of the great Danish cartoon caper isn't that Muslims
immediately engage in acts of mob violence when things don't go their way.
That is de rigueur for the Religion of Peace. Their immediate response to
all bad news is mass violence....A front-page story would be "Offended

I havne't heard anyone disparage the quality of the iriver players. So I
assume it sounds good and is durable. One thing I really like about the
iRiver is using an AA battery. Here's what I don't like: the price is
about
twice as much as a Creative Zen Nano Plus (also called Muvo Micro N200)
with
1GB capacity. The slightly strange shape may make it a little
isto
find a place to put the player in the truck. The Nano Plus/Muvo Micro
displaythe shape and size of a pack of gum or slightly larger than a box of
matches. The Nano/Micro costs $100 from Zipzoomfly.com The color
attractedof the iRiver is catchy, but I'm not sure I would pay for that feature.
Thanks Scott, I'll check out that creative player. The thing that
me was the AA battery.
