The way it was described to me is that they are often not aware they are slipping into the reaction in time to correct it. I suspect this fact is the controling reason insulin dependent diabetics are not elegible for a CDL.
The latest great promise is a cure through genetic engineering and stem cell reaserch. Let us hope that the folks with the religious zelotry do not win their battle to stifle this hope before it comes to fruition.
There are warning signs. When sugar drops into the low side of normal, one gets jittery, weak and usually nauseous. Orange juice is a safe, quick infusion of sugar.
