We have them but they are only on steering or lift axles. Waste
Management comes into our yard and has a truck S/S on the drives but that's
not common. Labatts(brewery) was experimenting with them on tractor drives
but seems to have gone back duals.
IIRC there is about a 200lb weight advantage per wheel with S/S vs duals,
but even with that they aren't going to be everybody's cup of tea.
