I've left mine on all night with no problems. Thats what their designed for.
If theres a problem with the possibility of not having enough juice to start
in the morning then get an auto disable for the 12V electrics. My
"junkliner" has one built in but I have seen them in the accesory isle at
the TS. An auxilary battery & an isolator will also work.
During my time of mental illness when I owned my own truck(real ownership
not lease purchase) I tried every thing, from a small 4 cylinder gas motor
tapped into my cooling system to a "Webasto" style furnace. I even tried a
"southwind" & a kerosene heater. The only route I didn't go was the
genset(too damned expensive). I finally gave up & went back to idling when
necessary. It didn't cost that much more than the cost ,repair, & upkeep on
those whiz bang gizmos I tried. I did like my mattress warmer though.
