There is a DVD series out called " Roaring Glory WarBirds ".
Basically they have a pilot do a walk around and then fly a Vintage WW2
aircraft and there are cameras all over the place....it's really neat.
F4U Corsair, P-47 Thunderbolt, TBF Avenger etc. . One of the aircraft
covered is the F6F Hellcat from the Planes of Fame museum. Steve Hinton
is the pilot in that DVD. I guess the plane in that DVD is the one that
was lost.
Jeff Ethel who does the P-38 DVD was killed in a P-38 at an
airshow a few years back. I really miss Jeff because he did some great
commentary in Discovery channel and History channel aircraft
documentaries.
Sad.
