Damn right, I wouldn't be driving a truck without air ride suspension. It's
bad enough when I have to pull a trailer that does not have air ride
suspension.
As for the "step." Ya, you put the air back into the suspension once you are
done sliding the fifth wheel, locking it in and making sure it is locked on
both sides.
