Top, You are a great American! I know you must be proud of your son, and I wish him the very best. I have a sixteen yearold who can never enlist due to heart problems, but I can only imagine the mixed emotions of pride and fear as you see you boy don his uniform for the defense of our country. God Bless You and tell your boy he, as all servicemen, are in our prayers daily!
As for tom, I here Iran has a very liberal immigration policy!
Thanks! I am so very proud of him. He's over come a few obstacles to do what he wants to do and I'd be proud if he was a tomato salesman. For him to start on the same path I took makes just that much better. As you mention at the same time I am very fearful for him. He's going to the 101st Airborne in Ft Campbell. They have people deployed in Iraq and are rotating some the first part of September. I don't think he'll be part of that group but he certainly stands a chance later on. Regardless. I'm The proud Papa of a great soldier. He's the fourth generation to defend this country from the ranks of the US Army.
As for Tom, if he wants to discuss this face to face I'll be more than happy to do that. Otherwise I won't waste anymore time on such a small person.
