Anyone who wants to go local in the Seattle area needs to have 2 to 5 years depending on the job, typically 2 years for local and 5 years for Metro or Community Tranist (Passenger service).
It is looking like I will be sticking with long haul for at least 2 years, and maybe more until I can find a worthy local company that would be worth me giving up my long haul job.

From my experience here in Orlando,Fl getting a local job after been on the road for 1yr was almost impossible they all wanted at least 2yrs exp just for me to haul milk around Orlando. And I just went to a tanker company Oakley transport. here in Florida, and I have to tell you after dealing with refers, dry vans and a bit of flat bed I will stay with tankers if I ever go back OTR.
Well all this just to tell you find out about going local on your state because at least in central FL they will ask you for experience of at least a yr or 2 they say is because of insurance reasons. spawn51
