I had US 70 signs changed after somebody here (sorry, not sure which
Durhamite wrote in) mentioned that the routing signs didn't make sense
after I-85 was widened in Orange County (NC).
If somebody points out something wrong or needed (such as pavement
markings in Durham/Chapel Hill, pointed out by the Raleigh News and
Observer this week) it'll get taken care of. The extra eyes out on
the roads helps, as we can't be everywhere.
With regards to a potential project, if somebody points out something
wrong or questionable about design plans it'll get changed, or comes
up with something different, we'll look at it (had quite a few
projects improved by ideas from the public.) If it's the same old
stuff, such as talking about Chevy Chase seeing Big Ben again when
dissing a roundabout, it'll usually get ignored.
