Except the thousands of people killed and millions of crashes that
occur on our roads prove that people are UNABLE to know their
limitations and drive dangerously.

The aggressive enforcement against drunk driving has saves thousands
of lives every year. Or do you suggest getting rid of drunk driving
laws.

So maybe YOU are a fantastically great driver, the but the schnook in
the car next to you is not.

Maybe you don't care, but I don't feel like getting waffled by a drunk
driver or a texting driver. I've almost been hit many times for cell
phone distracted drivers.

If you don't like the driving laws, get together with like-minded
people and build your own private roadway and run it as you see fit.

Now, I will agree I don't like the heavy hand of the Fed pushing down
on the states to enact these laws. But as another posted correctly
observed, we DO need consistent driving laws nationwide.
if all these guys that knew their "limitations" were correct.. we'd
not need so many laws.

the problem is .. they are not correct but you cannot convince
them....without a law...

A more interesting problem is that driving is boring most of the time.
Because of that, it is easy for anyone to become distracted. They don't
think it matters at all if they don't pay attention.

I'm glad that automated driving will be available within 25 years. We
don't need careless people behind the wheel.

Is it that driving is boring? Or is it that driving is not video game graphics attention grabbing that people think it doesn't require attention?

Take care,
Rich

God bless the USA
