claim. When you are drunk pretty much the fault falls on you in the
event of a crash; the prosecutor will point out that if Stallworth saw
the pedestrian in time to sound his horn, he might have had time to
avoid hitting him had he not been impaired.
Here in MN, the law is that you are required to stop for anyone
who is in the crosswalk, regardless of the traffic signals or
the walk/don't walk status. Had this accident happened in the
twin cities, the driver would be at fault and would have committed
a violation even if sober and even if they had the green light.
