I'm sure Jason or Pigsty will gloat over this, but I wasn't allowed to vote.
I only had to wait 10 minutes in line (there were only around a dozen folks
in line), but there was no record of my voter registration.
Yeah, cause I want to censor those people who disagree with me and
remove their right to vote.
Jesus you just prove how stupid you are time and time again.
Arkansas has what's called "Motor Voter": you can register to vote at the
Dept of Finance & Administration (car tag office) when renewing your car
tags or driver's license. When I move here 2 years ago, I signed up to move
my registration from my old town.
Well, somewhere between the DFA & the state Election office, my registration
was never received. So I was given a new form to fill out so I could vote in
the next election.
I could, in theory, go back to my old town, but I don't have the time to
spare (it's over an hour each way).
*mutter* *grumble*
I was surprised how easy it was for me to vote, considering I had
absolutely no evidence that I lived in Nevada, let alone in Washoe
County. My DL and everything is still AZ. I did provide a Reno
address, where they sent me my voter reg card and the sample ballot,
which I brought to the polling place. I guess that's enough "evidence"
for them.
