In St. Louis there is Olive Street Road.

The story is that originally there was (and still is) Olive Street.
When the outer areas were more rural the dirt road that connected to
Olive Street eventually got dubbed Olive Street Road.

One of my hobbies is tracking down and photographing "planes on
a stick", aircraft displayed by cities, civic groups, whether on
a pylon or otherwise displayed. For the longest time, I was trying
to track down an F-104 fighter jet that was listed by the USAF
Museum as being on "WOLIVE ST" in Burbank, CA. I scoured the
maps (we didn't have stuff like Google Maps back then) and called
people, all to no avail. So one day, I am out in LA, so I decided
to scout around Burbank to see if I could find it. It could be
near the airport. I didn't find it, but I did find a city library.
The lady at the library took lone look at the address, and said,
you must mean "West Olive Street". Doh. Turns out the F-104 was
mounted on a stick right in front of the community swimming pool
over on West Olive Street, just like it was supposed to be. 15
years later, some family members still kid me about Wolive Street.
